Yongnuo RF603CII - a great little RF shutter release

I have RF flash triggers from Yongnuo (622 series), Godox, and Paul C Buff, but wanting an inexpensive but reliable RF shutter release, I recently decided to buy a pair of the Yongnuo RF603C II RF flash triggers (just $29) since they also functioned as shutter releases. Reviews were good and the price was right.

My experience with the RF603's has been very good so far. I can bump the trigger button to wake up my camera to see how the light meter is doing (for sunsets, my shutter starts out about 1/2500 sec and gradually drops as the sun goes below the horizon), then hit the trigger button again to raise the mirror, and a third bump to take the picture. For lightning pictures, the RF603 works fine with Bulb mode, keeping the shutter open as long as I have the RF603 button pushed. Simple, but just what I need!

I love the size of the RF603's and the batteries haven't seemed to drain while in the camera bag, so I've been comfortable leaving the batteries in place. If I happen to need a flash trigger, the relatively small pair of RF603 devices is in my bag, ready to go.

Highly recommended!
